    A child’s first introduction to ballet. A friendly and fun class developing rhythm and musicality through movement. Classes are a combination of classical music and nursery rhymes. We use props and each class is lightly themed with a modern tune or two! Parents or carers are required to join in the fun, which is lovely bonding time together.

    Please bring a soft toy as we rock them to sleep at the end of class before our curtsy/bow.

  • Fluffy Cygnets Ballet

    In this pre-school class, we learn basic ballet steps developing your child’s coordination, musicality and concentration skills in an inclusive and non-competitive environment. Children are encouraged to explore their imaginations using props and fun music, with each week being lightly themed. They will also dance to classical music and nursery rhymes. Parents or carers are welcome to join if needed or watch from the sides, but must remain on the premises.

    These classes become a little more structured as we start to follow the Royal Ballet School training & assessment programme. We learn new steps & ballet vocab at each level and discuss technique. We also cover body awareness & conditioning, creative practice including improvisation & choreography. We also learn ballet repertoire whereby each level is given a ballet production to watch and research.

    This class is for adults of ALL ages. Ballet is transformative and such a calm & graceful way to exercise, as well as being so good for the body. We begin class with a warm up, followed by around 30 minutes of barre work. We then continue dancing in the centre and finish up with a couple of gentle Pilates exercises & stretching. Have an hour to yourself to zone out, improve general fitness, core control, posture, balance, flexibility and coordination. You may have danced many years ago and miss it, or you may be a complete beginner, all ages and abilities are welcome!

    Modern is dynamic & fun and really contributes to a well-rounded, versatile dancer. We follow the ISTD syllabus.

  • Tap

    Tap is hugely beneficial for musicality & rhythm – it’s almost like playing a percussive instrument with your body! We follow the ISTD syllabus.

    These classes are with 2 or 3 teachers depending on the week and we learn excerpts from musicals. We cover dance/movement choreography with Hannah, perfect singing with Olivia Safe and practice acting & performance skills with Josephine Rogers. The pupils will perform what they have been learning in class twice a year at Christmas and in our annual Summer show.

    These classes with professional actress Josephine Rogers are invaluable for building confidence for talking in public, as well as developing acting & performance skills.

    This class is designed for children to improve strength and flexibility in all genres of dance. We will do exercises using some equipment, pilates exercises and work on general dance technique in kicks, turns, splits, jumps, leaps etc.

    Bespoke class catered towards your needs – you may want extra technique or performance coaching in preparation for an exam or competition. You may be a complete beginner and want to build confidence and progress your development on a one-to-one basis. Or you may be a family or bunch of friends who just want to do it for fun!

All classes with the exception of musical theatre which has 2-3 teachers plus pianist;

30 minute classes – £6.00

45 minute classes – £6.75

1 hr classes – £7.50

1 hr 15 mins classes - £8.00

1 hr 30 mins classes - £8.50

Private Lessons

30 mins private lessons - £20-£25 depending on teacher

Note: We offer a multi-class discount per family;

2 classes = 5%

3 classes = 10%

4 classes = 15%

5 classes = 20%

6 classes = 25%

Payment is due for the 6 week term in advance and can be made by bank transfer, an invoice will be emailed to you. We run in line with school terms but finish a little earlier at Christmas and Summer and start a little later in January and September. Anyone is welcome to join at any stage throughout the term. We cannot issue refunds for any unattended classes.

If you wish to discontinue a class, notice must be given by the last week of term (for the following term), otherwise you will be invoiced for the term.

TAKES A VILLAGE FUND

We have a fund created by donors & supporters of the school which is for any families who need a little helping hand in paying their child’s class fees. Please contact Hannah in the strictest of confidence and she will be more than happy to arrange some financial help from this fund.
