Jen trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, during which she was awarded the Laurence Olivier Bursary Award and was a finalist for the Stephen Sondheim Student Performer of the Year Award.
Her professional theatre credits include: Celia in As You Like It, Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream(Stafford Festival Shakespeare), Jane Hopcroft in Absurd Person Singular (Frinton Summer Theatre), Fairy Nuff in Jack & the Beanstalk (Swindon Wyvern), Morgana Grimm in Sleeping Beauty (Wilde Theatre, South Hill Park), and - mostly importantly - Stick Lady Love in Stick Man (UK and Asia Tour).
She is also co-founder and one third of the comedy cabaret group Three Little Maids, and was an artist in residence at Sell A Door Theatre Company.
A passionate feminist, Jen served 6 years as Vice Chair of the Equity Women’s Committee, working to improve working conditions for female identifying workers in the performance industry, especially parents like herself.
Jen has been teaching drama for over a decade, and is currently resident LAMDA teacher at Mayfield School, where her results are consistently outstanding, with 93% of her students receiving a Distinction in her last cohort of examinations. In addition, three of her Mayfield students have successfully gained places in the National Youth Theatre this year.
Jen lives in Ticehurst with her husband and two young children, and continues to divide her time between professional acting, teaching and parenting.
